*Peking*

*Some highlights from our Explorers field trip to the South Street Seaport's ship, The Peking. What were your highlights from the trip? Please share!

I liked looking up and seeing that guy way up on the other ship's mast, fooling with the Christmas tree.

I liked looking at the photographs of life on the Peking and similar ships.

I liked thinking about hard tack without actually having to eat hard tack.

I liked watching the entire class playing Red Light, Green Light on the dock. From the chaperone's perspective, this was a mellow and exemplary field trip! Hooray for class 424!

I liked it when Cole raised his hand before we entered the ship and our guide asked, "Do you have a question?" and he resplied, "No, I have a comment."

I thought the trip to the Peking
was a great trip because we got to
explore the ship and raise the sail!
