*Yesterday, we had a very cool artist visit us as a special guest. Her name is Fly, and she creates amazing story portraits of people, zines (mini-magazines), and super cool comic books! We LOVED visiting with her. She showed us a lot of her work, which was really inspirational, and then taught us how to make our own zines. Check us out with Fly!

Wow, I feel like an honorary fourth grader since I had the privilege of being a fly on the wall for both Fly's visit and the Peking trip!
I was very inspired by the way Fly describes the people in her Peops portraits as "amazing" artists, craftspeople, musicians, etc. We've all got something amazing about us, that's for sure, and I thought the kids of class 424 were pretty amazingly open to this visitor and her wonderfully creative ideas!
